Producer and session bassist from Brooklyn NY. I produce, teach and record for different artists and companies around the world. I've toured internationally playing and singing, but my favorite place is in a pair of headphones, helping artists bring their ideas to life.

As a songwriter, producer, and mixing engineer, Alex Nackman has written music and placed songs with artists from Sony, Warner, Nettwerk, & Kobalt among others, as well as shows on HBO, NBC, CBS Sports, AMC, Tour De France, Bravo, Showtime, Hyundai, Coca-Cola, Cadillac/GMC, and the BBC, among others. Alex is also a BMG-signed writer himself.

I'm a producer, DJ, beat-maker, recording and mastering engineer for over 33 years. I've produced over 100 titles on seminal New York House and Electronic labels throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. These days I create under 'Son Of Sound'. As a producer I'm well versed in both contemporary and classic styles of Hip Hop, Pop, House and Indie.

Music is all about the energy. My job isn't finished until you can't help but sing along to your own songs. I approach music from an artists' perspective, and use guitar pedals and outboard processing to create unique and immersive worlds for each song to live in.

I take songs from a basic demo and create radio ready productions and mixes. I also write original songs in all different genres and can create a song specifically tailored to a particular artist's style.
