Sean Killary

Remote rock & indie mixing

Sean Killary on SoundBetter

An expert in vibe & creative, analog sounds, I will give your track space, emotion, and movement. I'm no stranger to dropping a 57 in a condom in a bathtub to get that "underwater" sound or sending your vocal track out through analog guitar pedals or tape. Why fake it when you can do it for real?

After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a Music Production degree in 2010, I started a recording studio in Boston, MA, where I had a blast producing and engineering indie bands. Every project was an amazing experience helping artists bring their vision to life, from full lengths to singles to EPs. I specialize in using analog spaces and tools to bring projects to life and helping build song structures, vocal harmonies, chord structures, and more.

In 2012, I started a brick-and-mortar music school in New Jersey and took a hiatus from mixing and production until 2024. I am now returning to my production and mixing roots, taking on remote mix projects in the indie rock and rock genres. I do have a few studios in NJ to work out of for tracking basics and mastering. Send me a message and let me know about your project so we can get started!
