I am open-minded; take direction well and am able to provide nearly any instrumental tracks to any song within my skill set on each instrument.
My name is Mark Nathanson and I am a Southern California Producer, Audio Engineer and Live Events Specialist.
Why is Sound Painter ? From my early years I always saw many images in my mind while listened to music. And now for me creation of music is a painting of some pictures from someone's mind ( client's or my ) with different tones,timbres,melodies and harmonies.
I have been working with audio for a total of 6 years, starting out in live theater and live music in high school and later getting into sound Mixing, Recording and Post Production. I have an AVID Pro Tools 110 certification and work primarily out of the box in Pro Tools. I also currently work full time as a live backline/audio technician.
Beginning as a musician I was highly motivated and interested in all aspects of sound. Passion for music drove me to be an audio engineer for the past fifteen years, touring and recording a number of successful artists all over the world.
Do you need session musicians, mixing, or mastering? I've got you covered. I'll add life to your songs with professionally engineered acoustic drums, acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keys, synths, and vocals. No corners are cut as we work with you and take pride in providing top-level tracks.
I've been a guitarist for 25 years, moved into production and engineering about 13 years ago. I have mixed Americana, Pop, Funk, R&B, Rock and more.
Picture the voice of Asher Roth, the style of Rod Stewart, an apartment full of late 2000's records, and a studio setup in the loft. My favorite storytellers are Drake, Blackbear, and Kid Cudi. Years ago I became fascinated with analog synthesizers once I discovered 80's pop music. Using Ableton Suite, my specialties are LoFi HipHop & Synthwave Pop
