I started Peace of Eden Recording Studio in 1998 on my farm in the countryside of the Garden Route, South Africa. Its a digital and analogue project facility with lots of vintage gear and accommodation is part of the deal. I have recorded and produced over sixty albums in many genres. I was nominated Best South African Recording Engineer in 2010.
We've enjoyed the privilege of working with singers, songwriters, bands and composers for many years. Our work and facility is Grammy certified. We interview clients before booking - since it is crucial that the creative fit is perfect. We are committed to world class sonics and customer service. Hoboken HiFi is owned by dub producer Jim the Boss. Jim believes in giving everyone a unique and organic sound. He has risen in reggae communities as creator, along side his studio band, of the Hudson Soul sound which is a dry, crisp sound reminiscent of 1970s Channel One era reggae music.We also record Jazz, Soul, Blues, Latin, Calypso and Folk.
