I started my musical life off as a songwriter, and am still startled to discover I've become a vocalist. I have a distinctive tone - think early Bowie-meets-Lennon - and my voice works well on radio. I'm a servant of the song, and I have a strong ear for emotion. Whether singing, writing or playing synth, I bring weird flava, best I can.

I've played on Grammy winning albums and toured the world with a host of different artists over the past 35 years. I have worked with Siouxsie Sioux, Peter Gabriel, Loreena McKennitt, Goldfrapp, Laura Pausini, Simple Minds, Miles Kane, Modern English, Coati Mundi, Michel Polnareff, Andy Partridge & Colin Moulding (XTC).

My mixing philosophy is to be invisible. My priority is to help the artist achieve their vision, ignoring the need to put a personal stamp on the mix or attempt to make it my own. To that end, I am flexible in the methods I employ and will always defer to the tastes of the artist by understanding what's important to them in a mix.
