Hi, I'm David Verity. I've worked with several Grammy-award winning professionals and have over 15 years of singing, songwriting, production, and mixing experience. My music production credits include Amazon, Bravo TV, and more. 2 x John Lennon Songwriting Award & USA Songwriting award winner. Let me help you make great records.
**Please don't submit a proposal if you don't have a budget for a high-quality feature, mixing or mastering. If you can't hear the difference between analog and plugins, or an ELA M251 and an MXL, if you want mumbling on your record rather than intellect, wit, and lyricism, or want a cheap sound, I'm not the right person for the job.
Hire me if and ONLY IF you want quality above everything else.**
Let's face it. You need your songs to sound as good as the songs on the radio. You need to work with someone who knows *exactly* how to make that happen for you because they've done it time and time again on the radio. And you DON'T want to break the bank to do it.
I want YOU to succeed in getting your music out there. In an incredibly competitive and over-saturated marketplace, that means getting the best sound. That's why I guarantee my work; you are thrilled or you pay nothing.
Bottom line, I know what it takes to help you make great records. So let's make some magic!
*David Verity is the president and CEO of Anomaly Music Group. A singer with a 5 octave singing range, international award-winning songwriter, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, engineer, his work is distributed via Universal Music Group in the US and via Japanese mega-corporation JVC in Asia.

David is truly multi talented professional, clearly setting a high bar for himself and going above and beyond for his clients.
He nailed the brief to deliver a radio ready production & amazing vocal performance, with creative ad libs & layers to take the track to the next level.
He promises top notch quality and delivers in spades, bringing so much skill, passion and creativity to the table.
I look forward to more collaborations - check_circleVerified

David, proved he was the right man for the job. Creating an exciting song and going above and beyond to work with me helping me understand the ins and outs of creating a song. I'll definitely use him again!

David did the most amazing Post Malone style hip hop background vocals on our tracks--literally hundreds of background vocal tracks. Epic! He has one of the best voices I have ever heard. The hardest work ethic on Soundbetter. Highest recommendation possible. Seriously! E

David is very experienced. A total pleasure to work with him. Very high vocal clarity. He was able to follow my instructions to the tee while he also infusing some of his subtle stylings and it wasn't a hard decision for me to include them as they just fit very well. Excited to proceed to mixing mastering phase.

I work with a lot of artist on this site and I'm always nervous when I try someone new. Wow! David's got it. Incredible talent, extremely professional, great communicator and brought great integrity to a less than desirable track. Comes across as very personable, which makes things even easier. Way to go David! #beastofatalent

The thing I like about David is his crazy work ethic and his commitment to customer satisfication. This guy won't stop help making revisions for you until YOU are happy. The project I had with David went smoothly; I winded up not completing it because I provided an instrumental for mixing and not the individual stems and so the final product thinned out the instrumental upon compression, but that's besides the point. This guy has amazing commitment and you will definitely enjoy working w/ him :)

This dude goes hard asf

David has become a friend through this process. He is one of the most genuine people you will work with. He cares about his artists. He knows exactly where you want the feel of the track to go without you having to say much. If you want someone who knows what he’s doing, this is your guy. First but def not the last track I will make with him. Talent and Experience, now that's what I call a dynamic combo!
Interview with Mr.David Verity
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just wrapped up a song for Bone Thugs N Harmony's Layzie Bone with LBS and Kiwi Struggles, so the music video is coming soon. Working on doing a lot more music licensing, and recently placed music on Bravo TV, an Amazon series , and worked on a movie this year that will be out on Netflix called Breaking Habits.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Working on a project with Toby Gad. He called me down to his studio in Los Angeles to work with him on a song for Justin Bieber and Jessica Jarrell. He was one of the most humble people I've ever worked with, and very talented.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Food or water and why? Lol. Both have benefits.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like that I get to do something I love, work for myself, work from home, and be on my own schedule. I've always been entrepreneurial, and whether it's my music production company, my record label, releasing books, or running other companies, I've always enjoyed the freedom it allows me to have. For me, it's the only way to live.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I think the biggest misconception comes from the fact that I do so much in music. Managers used to tell me, "You can't be a songwriter, and producer, and singer, and rapper, and engineer, and play instruments. That's impossible." Don't ever tell me what's possible unless you want me to prove to you that it, in fact, is very possible. And don't let anyone tell you what's possible either. Anything's possible if you put two decades into it like I have, and so can you.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have fun and know that SoundBetter is a great company who will stand behind their services 100% and they do a wonderful job moderating projects, so they will make it right for you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1. A powerful laptop full of music production software and all my plugins. 2. Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones 3. A Midi Keyboard 4. A solar powered generator so I could create indefinitely! Lol.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started almost 20 years ago as a teenager. At 16 I was the #1 R&B Contemporary R&B Artist on MP3.com, at 17 I was #1 on Billboard's now defunct Talent Net online music chart. But my professional career started when Jimmy Iovine chose me as the top prospect in the country on Farmclub.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Like water. 100% Adaptive.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Anyone who is humble, willing to learn, hungry, and dedicated to their craft. I will work with a client like that over a superstar any day.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always be learning. Don't ever allow yourself to be stagnant. There's an amazing book about this called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. This book is one of my all-time favorite books, and in it he explains that one of the habits is called "Sharpen The Saw" - if you're constantly working without refining your skill set, you're working very inefficiently. Always develop yourself, your skill set, and be open to learning new things.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My artist career was built around R&B and Hip-Hop music, but as a producer and engineer, I also specialize in Pop, EDM, Latin and Dance. Anything that's TOP 40.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Caring about my clients and working hard to make sure they're happy. I'm not a selfish person, so I try hard to make sure everyone is thoroughly happy.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a lot of technical experience, but I also tons of ingenuity and creativity. One thing you'll consistently hear from my clients is that I work creatively to solve problems. That's because I'm a dual-hemispheric thinker, which is a very rare type that is analogous to being ambidextrous. I'm as good with logic as I am with art.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I don't have any particular process in place. I do whatever feels right to me. I work very intuitively. It's like MMA... if you have a process, or style, you'll invariably find yourself in a situation where that doesn't work. So when you just get in a state of flow, I feel that's what works best.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio was designed by acoustic engineers and built to specifications. It is fully treated. It is the areas premiere music mixing facility, mastering facility music production facility and vocal recording studio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm honestly inspired by anyone who is successful, highly motivated, and innovative. My inspiration isn't exclusive to a specific group, genre, era, etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I get is for mixing songs, producing instrumentals or singing on tracks.
