I make beats, I write music. I love learning about audio and engineering techniques.
I also engineer audio but as an amateur, I'm a professional music producer and composer, not an engineer.
I've been producing since 2006, I've produced garage rock, electronic rock, rap, children's songs, electronic and hip-hop music.I studied jazz and classical harmony, I can do transcription work for you!
Lately I focus on making beats and writing classical music. I work with Logic Pro X.
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.
Interview with Charles Oziouls
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My computer, my Les Paul, my AC15, a model D and a polysynth.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was a touring musician but can't do that anymore due to health issues.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-hop or electronic music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ear.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Drums, synthesizers, sometimes guitars.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually start either with a guitar or keyboard composition that I arrange in the box, or I start from a sample.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is weird, I sometimes use unmatched monitors, always with a sub. I do all the processing and mixing in the box so I can concentrate on my instruments.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Classical composers have provided most of my knowledge, other than that I enjoy very much the 50's aesthetic and recording techniques be it in cinema or music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do a lot of beatmaking using samples taken from various sources.
