Mixtown USA is an audio production, recording, mixing, and mastering company based in Los Angeles. We have been making records for artists, bands, and labels for the past decade and have worked in many genres including rock, pop, indie, and Americana.
We can take your song from conception through recording, mixing, and mastering, or assist with any individual part of the process. We also specialize in remote mixing and mastering and have been working that way with our clients for years. We always take the time to talk with you extensively before we start on the project to make sure that we achieve your artistic vision.

Interview with Evan Bradford // Mixtown USA
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will be ecstatic with the end result.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The studio is located in Downtown Los Angeles, the control room looking out to a view of the LA skyline. We have a spacious live room as well as a fully floated and isolated booth and can accommodate anything from a solo artist or singer up to full bands tracking live. The control room was designed by George Augspurger and houses an array of vintage and modern analog gear feeding a Pro Tools system via Burl and Antelope conversion. All monitoring is done through a Maselec MTC-1 mastering transfer console, mixing is a hybrid setup with Pro Tools HD, UAD, Waves, etc that can be summed through a Chandler Mini Rack mixer. For mastering, we use the MTC-1 to feed a Buzz Audio REQ 2.2 and Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor, along with a selection of digital processing if necessary.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: As a production team, we excel at working with artists from pre-production through recording, mixing, and mastering, and because we have our own full equipped studio facility, we are able to accommodate projects even if they're on a tight budget. There are many scenarios where we are only hired for one or two parts of the process (recording mixing, and/or mastering), and we are always more than happy to take on any projects where we feel that we truly have something special to offer. We also do a ton of remote mixing and mastering for clients located in other parts of the world.
