Evan was great--super professional, very responsive, and did a great job mastering our album. He really took the time to make sure we were happy with the final product--and we were quite happy! Highly recommended. Thanks Evan!
An amazing result!! Evan is the man!! As a band we’re very happy what Evan did to our song.
Evan is very kind and attentive, reliable and very professional, highly recommended!
Evan is a professional in every sense of the word. He's an excellent communicator with two great ears and a formula for successful mastering. He was able to bring out an energy and a richness in my tracks and take my entire project to the next level. Highly recommended.
Evan was easily reachable even in different time zones. He worked with my schedule, and his final products blew me away. He made the mastering process seem easy.
Evan is awesome and easy to work with. His mixes are detailed and he understands nuances. Planning some future projects with him already. Made my single sound much better and it was already good...how do you do that? Not sure but you can ask Evan and he will explain it ;-)
Evan is both an excellent engineer and the type of person you want to work with, I couldn't be happier with my experience! He went above and beyond to make minute mix changes over the course of several versions, and the final product sound so much better than when we began. I highly recommend Evan to any artist looking to improve their music! 828
Evan was very easy to work with. I was impressed with his turnaround time and his execution of the revisions I noted (this is no small compliment; not having to be incessant on any one mixing note was an unusual relief). In his mix, he found an aggressive energy that brought a dimension to the song that at first I hadn't considered, but which now seems essential. Will be working with him again.
My music partner, Ryan MacLeod, and I recorded our first record with Evan & Jon. We were new to studio work and so it could have been intimidating, but Evan and Jon were amazing. These two are absolute masters of their art, but most importantly, make you feel completely supported. It's why we are cutting another record with them! Highly Recommend!!
Evan Bradford is so awesome to work with. Evan brings out the best in my various electric guitar sounds and my vocal takes. The same goes for Jon Ashley. And Jon is also a killer drummer. Evan and Jon make a great team! I highly recommend working with these guys at Mixtown USA! - Marcus Hogan - www.marcushogan.org

Interview with Evan Bradford // Mixtown USA
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: As a production team, we excel at working with artists from pre-production through recording, mixing, and mastering, and because we have our own full equipped studio facility, we are able to accommodate projects even if they're on a tight budget. There are many scenarios where we are only hired for one or two parts of the process (recording mixing, and/or mastering), and we are always more than happy to take on any projects where we feel that we truly have something special to offer. We also do a ton of remote mixing and mastering for clients located in other parts of the world.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The studio is located in Downtown Los Angeles, the control room looking out to a view of the LA skyline. We have a spacious live room as well as a fully floated and isolated booth and can accommodate anything from a solo artist or singer up to full bands tracking live. The control room was designed by George Augspurger and houses an array of vintage and modern analog gear feeding a Pro Tools system via Burl and Antelope conversion. All monitoring is done through a Maselec MTC-1 mastering transfer console, mixing is a hybrid setup with Pro Tools HD, UAD, Waves, etc that can be summed through a Chandler Mini Rack mixer. For mastering, we use the MTC-1 to feed a Buzz Audio REQ 2.2 and Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor, along with a selection of digital processing if necessary.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will be ecstatic with the end result.
