I'm a professional singer/songwriter with 12+ years of experience in session work including vocal recording and toplining. Originally from Dallas, Texas, I moved to Nashville, TN at age 18 to attend Belmont University and 10 years later, I'm now living in LA, continuing to follow my dream of singing. For 6+ years, I've been working with hundreds of clients all over the globe, providing them with top notch vocals and songwriting. I have countless sync cuts on popular TV shows such as Love Island, Love Is Blind, Teen Mom, etc. Although I have always had strong roots in country music, my heart has always been with pop. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My Quicksand EP that is on Spotify and iTunes. I wrote and performed these songs. I'm proud of the originality and heart that was put into these songs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Singles to release for my solo career Writing new hits for sync/pitch purposes
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will deliver a product that they are absolutely in love with. I will be time efficient and will communicate effectively. I will make sure that they are happy with the product.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love getting to be creative and make music! I love collaborating with people all over the world, and getting to write/perform to various different styles of music.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What my rates are, and I tell them it depends on what they need. If I write a song, it is a bit more. They ask if I am able to provide a more "belty" sound and I say yes absolutely!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: "Singing is easy." This is false. Singing isn't easy. Especially when you are singing for different people's tracks from all over the world. With each song, it is important to keep in mind what the client wants out of the track and that you are providing the best quality voice for each track. Some jobs push my range, and I have to adjust/strengthen my voice a bit.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the deadline for this project? What is your budget? Do you have a specific subject matter you had in mind for this song? (if I am writing it) Do you have melodies in mind already? Do you have a title for the song already? Do you want this to be a belty vocal or a more quiet/subtle vocal?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I would advise them to be detailed in what they are wanting out of the project and what their budget is. The more detailed, the more understanding I have and the happier they will be with the product.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been singing for over 10 years. I grew up in a very musical family, so naturally I was drawn to the music industry as I got older. I was involved with honors choir in high school, then moved to Nashville 5 years ago and graduated from Belmont University. I have been in full pursuit of my music career since I moved to Nashville; constantly writing with various artists around town, playing out, and creating my own music for release.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I'm primarily a pop artist but I can sing any genre. My voice is very versatile and universal, in that, I am able to deliver an amazing product no matter what genre it is.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I book time in the studio to record with my producer. I hash out each song until we get the best takes and send it off to my clients.
