Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. For me, digital is very convenient. But analog is great too! The "Stranger Things" theme wouldn't have been the same, analog gave it it's magic.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Electronic/dance music is where I get most of my inspiration. I'm really passionate about it! I've been a big fan of Tale Of Us since before they created their Afterlife label. Deep/Melodic/Tech house...music in those genres is usually on repeat. Adriatique, Solomun, Lee Burridge & Carl Cox are favorites. I love the recent popularity of Afro House & the style of vocals the genre has made its focus, especially since Spanish is my first language. Really into the Keinemusik guys. The techno legends list is long, but I've always been a fan of Adam Beyer and Sven Väth. Some of the names in the tech house scene that I really like are Max Styler and Mau P. For more vocal-forward artists: Monolink, Bob Moses, Rüfüs Du Sol and Who Made Who. For EDM: of course Avicii & Calvin Harris, but there are many in this category. In the pop genre: Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish & Sabrina Carpenter are favorites, but I think the all around winner here is Harry Styles. If we are talking more indie electronica: Bon Iver, Miike Snow, The Midnight and Tycho. And on the more folky side of things: I have all of Lord Huron albums memorized!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I began singing professionally as a young child in 1st grade. A famous world-traveling children's choir came to my school scouting for potential singers. Out of my entire school district, they chose little ol' me! I started then, and have never stopped. My love affair with Dance music began when I was a teenager (and continues!). Luckily, I've lived in Miami for most of my life. Dance music goes hand in hand with this city, especially during March for Miami Music Week. It's so inspiring! I also credit Ibiza with being a big part of my journey. I began traveling there for their season over 10 years ago, and it's been an incredible tool for my growth as a singer and songwriter. Needless to say, if you need help with your dance music project, I'm your girl!
