The passion that I have for music has enabled me to produce some great sounds on various projects. I specialize in the Bass Guitar and have been tracking bass for over 10 years. The projects I have worked on have been professionally done and has entered the international market. I have also done productions that have been release digitally.
My style is heavily influenced by Chase Atlantic, 6lack, and RILEY—blending moody R&B textures, cinematic synths, and punchy drums to create immersive sonic experiences. Alex Merrill is a funk session/touring keys player whose played with the likes of Baby Jake, Riley Clemmons, Aveva, Morgan Myles and even, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, of Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers acclaim. He specializes in all styles with an emphasis on 80's Funk, 70's yacht rock, and Gospel/blues with a vintage-synth tinge.
I have over 8 years of experience having self produced two albums, an EP and self directed and produced four music videos.
I am in the Nashville area, and have access to premier studios at Middle Tennessee State University, where I am pursing a graduate degree in recording. I have run live sound for many various artists, ranging from Eric Paisley to Bryan Sutton, but am pursing a more full time career in studio mixing here in Tennessee.
