Based in New York and inspired by the iconic art life, diversity, history and music in his native Brooklyn, Dennis McCalla - D.Gatez started his career as a self-thought bass player, music producer, talent scout, sound engineer and tour manager. Later on he added another weapon of choice to his talents within the entertainment industry - photography and videography.
Coming from a place where he already knew what both A-list and independent artists want and need in their sound, career and visuals, Dennis developed a personal style that many respected pop, jazz, soul, R’n’B, Gospel and Hip Hop musicians and music managers trust.
He has his own flavor when it comes to making music. With his take of creative drum patterns, futuristic sounds, live instrumentation, and arrangements, he has worked on numerous projects, inside of the industry and out as either a producer, A&R, live musician, or as a recording engineer (Bad Boy Records, Atlantic Records, Kennedy Administration, Cheryl Pepsii Riley, among many others.)
