Zack Sympson is a singer-songwriter from New Zealand. He has a large following around the world and is passionate about his music.

I am currently living back in my home New Zealand. I have travelled and met some amazing musicians along the way and have grown a large fan base around the world. My main skill is songwriting and singing. I have access to a high-end studio in my home town and have a great set up from home. I can also produce music !!

I spent some time with musicians like Clara Benin and a member of the band Ben&Ben while I was in the Philippines. They are extremely talented musicians and have a large following around the world.

Singing is my passion and I love helping people reach their goals in music.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Always working on my own music

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Ballads
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening and Singing !!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Uniqueness !!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Well first I decide if I am the right fit for the genre. I would never take on a project that's not my style. If I did dig it and think I can bring it to life, then I start to understand then vision behind the song and get the story etc.. The best thing you can do is understand what the song means to someone first. Once I have established that, I usually record a demo or something to get the ball rolling.. Then we just keep going back and forth until we are both confident for the final recording..
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I typically use a my Neumann TLM 103 when recording vocals. However, I have access to a state of the art studio with access to a Neumann u87 and many more top rated mics at an additional cost. But usually I work from home with just my mics and a laptop.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: James Arthur, love his passion and vocal style.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Vocals !! Singing is my passion and my skill. Sometimes I get asked to produce music or help build a guide track for a track. One of my best skills is to build a guide track for singers to help them build a foundation for their song before sending it off to a pro producer !!
