I graduated in Piano Performance at the “Jacopo Tomadini” Conservatory in Udine (Italy), studying with Maestros such as Daniel Rivera, Lukas Michel, Luigi Di Ilio, Ugo Cividino and Antonio Nimis.
With over 15 years of experience, I collaborate with leading Labels and Artists in the Contemporary Neoclassical scene.

I went into this project a year ago with great hope and, now, a year later, my hopes and dreams have far exceeded my expectations thanks to Giuliano Poles.
He is a gentleman, an artist, a wizard, and a pro. Once we had our communication down on the style I wanted to achieve, everything was seamless. He was to help me capture something that I think is unique and marketable. If I have a chance to do a follow-up project, he'll be my veery first call.

Interview with Giuliano Poles

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I think that the speed, the possibility of working on a project again and reopening the used sounds is the strong point of digital instruments. Today’s technology allows you to get magnificent, warm and truly detailed sounds. Analog is something magical, unpredictable. I recommend it for projects that do not have imminent deadlines or too many changes to be made.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Original Piano Solo Recordings, Original Piano Arrangements for Pop/Singer-Songwriters, Cinematic Orchestral Arrangements, Piano Covers (Piano Versions of famous Songs)...
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have two different locations: the main one where I make recordings with virtual instruments, editing, mix and master of the songs (I also have several analog synthesizers for fans of electronic music, synthwave, ambient...); The other is where my Yamaha CX2 Piano, treated differently, is dedicated to projects that require acoustic Grand Piano recordings.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am the owner of a record label and I'm producing Artists from the Neoclassical, Jazz and Ambient world. If you are curious look for "Futura Modulans" on Instagram.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love to know the adventures and experiences of each Artist. Each of us has a story to tell and convert into music. I love to collaborate, experiment and produce a unique result that is the sum of my thought and the taste of the Artist I’m working with.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’m very flexible depending on the type of project I have to produce. In my personal works instead I am very melancholy, emotional and dark.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: It’s not important how much equipment you have, but it’s important how good you use it. Knowledge and practice are the basis of the creative process.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Creativity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually the Artists send me a MIDI file or a Score of their music and I record the track, after examining and studying the piece. I send the "Demo" to the artist to receive any feedback, making, if necessary, the appropriate corrections; my main goal is that the Artist is happy with the result.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the times are "Piano Recordings"; some ask me to compose the "Original Piano Version" of a complete piece or to create a new arrangement for Strings or Cinematic Instruments.
