Full-time R&B/Soul/Hip-Hop sound producer, recommended by artists from NYC, Israel, Hungary, LA, and Russia. You can find my works at Universal Productions France (U.S. Punchliners and Galerie Smooth Hip Hop Beats albums). No generic "type beat", Mark Evich type beat only. But I love H.E.R. and Ari Lennox ;)
I've been producing R&B, soul, and hip-hop for over 5 years. In 2016 I moved to New York from Russia to put my skills and art at the new level.
One thing I don't do is generic "type beat" things, to be honest. It's always Mark Evich type beat, but it's also YOUR type beat, cause every song is different.
Every song is emotion, and my job is to amplify this emotion, and production is not only about making the beat. I prefer to guide the artist through the whole process of creating the song from the first sketch to writing lyrics the final mix and even cover art.
I produce in Logic X, using my virtual instruments, guitar and have plenty of connections with musicians worldwide should we need some extra sauce.
Feel free to check out the audio samples as well as reach out and learn more about my process.

Interview with Mark Evich
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long will it take you to do this? - I'm on the faster side. You can expect first demo in 2 to 3 days and a final product within 1,5 weeks.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar; my MacBook; Montiors; Midi Keyboard; Headhones. But I'll also need a power generator, so...
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soul With Balls.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Can't wait to work with BJ The Chicago Kid and Anthony Hamilton - their voice tones just do something to me, make me wanna build beautiful music around them.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Be risky.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Listening closely to the material and the idea before creating anything.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The crucial element is the song itself even after all the production layers you put on it. So I amplify the message; sometimes we would come up with more parts, rearrange the structure, add a prechorus or chorus. When my job is done, I want to see a clear, bright picture - although with a lot of details.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I would usually get as much information as possible from an artist to make sure I got the idea right. It's the most important part! Then I deliver a shorter demo to make sure I got the idea right. After the initial feedback, I would move on and finalize the beat and send it back to the artist.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both - whichever helps me reach the best results.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Personal approach; unique style; fast delivery; honesty.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I simply love music. And it feels so great to see the ideas and concepts become full blown songs, or better yet - albums; to see music videos made for these songs; to see people singing these songs at the shows.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is the message or story you want to tell? Who are you favorite singers and musicians? Who are your LEAST favorite singers and musicians? Are you willing to experiment with this project or looking for specific and relatively commercial sound?
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: 90% of the time it would be r&b, soul, hip-hop, rap, trap... Sometimes it would be something totally different like rock or music for commercials.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Adam T5 monitors, Telecaster guitar, 2 midi keyboards, Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 sound card, AKG K240 headphones.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: There are two main lines of work. One is making the beat from the scratch by artist's request so that he or she could write to it. Another one is creating the instrumental for a song that artist has already written and has a draft/sketch of. In this case I would make sure to convey and amplify the message and make sure the idea really shines.
