Interview with Kevin Palacios

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love being creative and just making music as a whole, it's a passion of mine since I was a kid.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: It's easy and it's just clicking and smashing buttons...which it isn't hahaha
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring life and energy to all the tracks I work on. I'm known for being able to bring groove and melody into my music and I hope to do that with yours.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually start off with inspiration whether that be the chords, melodies etc. I then build of from that and find reference tracks to help arrange and structure the track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a super basic setup but really and truly you don't need fancy tools to make music. I have a 2i2 Scarlett Focusrite, KRK Rokits (Currently upgrading to Yamaha's), Custom built state of the art PC which can handle even the biggest of projects, FL Studio, all the main synthesizers in the industry.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm really inspired by Timbaland and he's one of my role models and the reasons why I even make music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I msotly do productions and help out with projects. For example if you're a producer struggling for chords, melodies etc I'm perfect for you and can easily help you to take your work to the next level.
