Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: My first official all-platforms release, 'Let Go,' is by far one of my favorite projects in which I wrote and performed. It delves into the mind of a growing artist, highlighting the ups and downs of finding your place in the world of music. As a chill pop song, it allows the message of learning to 'Let Go' of your fears and self-doubt in order to flourish come across a lot easier, which is something I always aspire to do with my music. I'm so incredibly proud of this piece because it's one of the first times my confidence hasn't wavered in regards to my music, which is something I've struggled to achieve in the past. Because I finally 'Let Go,' my drive and passion has most certainly deepened, making me more appreciative of my hard work.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Just my voice! That's all I'd ever need.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital, because you can take your creation with you everywhere you go!

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: The most common questions I get from the artists I work with are about my work process. Although the process sometimes varies slightly, it usually starts with me getting the client's vision for the track, writing the lyrics, and then recording and roughly mixing a first draft demo. If they're happy with what they hear then once the job has been marked complete I send them all the individual dry wav stems. Most clients also ask me to send the wet stems and a rough mix without my artist tag to use as a reference for their mixing/mastering engineer. As it states in my terms I always offer my clients two free revisions, so if they do happen to find any changes they'd like me to make while listening to the first draft demo then I complete those for them.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: The biggest misconception about what I do is that I offer mixing and mastering services alongside my work. Trust me, I'm not the engineer you want haha. I'm always up to refer clients to my amazing mixing and mastering engineer though! (He's definitely the engineer you deserve).

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: For the majority of my life I had been convinced by outside influences that a music-filled future was simply unrealistic. I found other areas of interest, the strongest of which being languages, and assumed that was the vocational direction I'd be going in. It wasn't until the pandemic hit that I realized how blind I had been. I began to delve into music again wholeheartedly and unapologetically, rediscovering my passion burning more fiery than ever before. I've been working on SoundBetter for about a year now, and have since combined my love for languages and passion for music by finding opportunities to communicate and collaborate with other creatives from all across the globe!

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: I feel like I'm a musical chameleon. Whether it's my vocal tone, vibe, or even new genres, I think I'm pretty good at blending in.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Make sure you're getting the most bang for your buck by finding a singer or songwriter who is a speedy communicator and has proven time and time again to be good at what they do in their specific niche!

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Pharrell said it best: "Don't stop making music." The creativity that comes out of you one day is never the same as the creativity that'll come out of you another time. The more you create, the more opportunities you give yourself to let your creativity shine. Once one good thing happens, it all snowballs. So whatever you do, "Don't stop making music."

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: Before I start each project I like to connect with the artist I'm working with in order to get a full sense of their vision for the track, including themes, vibes, reference tracks, vocal tones, and so on. This part is especially important when I'm doing the songwriting as well, because it allows me to fully immerse myself in the artist's vision and maintain the story behind the music while adding in my own creativity. Once I have the tone of the track set, I get to work on laying down a top-line and doubles. From there I sprinkle in layers of airy harmonies and background vocals (always my favorite part) until the track is complete.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I work from an in-home studio, using the Shure SM7B mic, Cloudlifter CL-1, and Focusrite Scarlett Solo, and the DAW in which I record and mix all my projects is Logic Pro.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: My vocal style can range from clear EDM vocals to rich, smooth Dua Lipa or Billie Eilish type vocals. Whatever you want from me, I got you!

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I would love to work with Illenium. Each and every one of his tracks is insanely good. I love how he creates a little world in each song.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: I've worked with VC countless times, and let me tell you, there's no one better than him. He is the most passionate musician I've met to this day. Whatever you need, he's the man for you! VC is an amazing rapper, singer, lyricist, mixing/mastering engineer, and producer. His passion for music is present in every one of both his own and others' projects. I couldn't recommend him more!

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I promise to put my full effort into every second of singing and songwriting you get from me!

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I absolutely love being able to help other creatives bring their visions to life, and I always look forward to my clients' excitement with what I provide them once I finish the job!

A: I make sure to bring your artistic vision to life as fully as possible with high-quality vocals and well-developed songwriting!

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: My main musical inspirations are NIKI, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Tate McRae, and Troye Sivan!

A: I provide high-quality vocals and songwriting to help bring your music to life!

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: Before I start working on a project I like to get a full understanding of the artist's vision for the track, including the story behind the music, vibes, themes, vocal tones, reference tracks/artists, and so on, which ensures a balance between the client's vision and my creativity. When chatting with potential clients I also like to learn a little about who they are as an artist on top of the usual questions. This helps me find my place on their tracks easier and makes the process a lot more involved and comfortable!
