Hayden has mixed for Billy Idol, Imagine Dragons, Guns N’ Roses, OneRepublic, Weezer, Shania Twain, Sheryl Crow, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, and many others, delivering mixes and stems for catalog, label, and placement use.
His production work includes collaborations with Bebe Rexha, along with his own project, Evaride, which has generated extensive placement across major media platforms.

All projects are completed at Golden Age Recording in Los Angeles, an all analog to tape studio centered around a Neve 5060 console, Studer A812 tape machines, SSL G384 compression, and a deep collection of analog outboard gear. Mixing and mastering can be completed entirely in the analog domain and printed to tape, prioritizing depth, cohesion, and long term musical quality.
In addition to mixing and mastering, Hayden works closely with artists on production, writing, and creative development, bringing a performance focused, musical approach shaped by real world release and placement demands.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to deliver work that I’m proud to put my name on and that my clients are confident releasing. I communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and refine every project until it’s release ready.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy helping artists turn ideas into finished records and pushing projects to a level they didn’t realize was possible. Seeing a song evolve from a rough concept into a polished, release ready record is what makes the work rewarding.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I usually ask about the artist’s goals for the project, reference tracks, intended release format, and where the music will ultimately live. Understanding the creative direction, timeline, and expectations upfront allows me to fully commit to the project and deliver the strongest possible result.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work across a wide range of genres including Pop, Rock, Alternative, R&B, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and soundtrack driven music. Through extensive catalog and placement work with Universal Music Group, I’ve mixed projects spanning nearly every major genre, which allows me to adapt quickly to different styles while maintaining clarity, impact, and musical intent.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Golden Age Recording is a purpose-built, all analog studio centered around a Neve 5060 console and Studer A812 tape machines. The setup includes UTA preamps, classic SSL and UREI compression, Lexicon reverbs, Eventide harmonizers, and a large collection of microphones, keyboards, and over 70 guitars. All mixing and mastering can be done fully analog and printed to tape.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The majority of my work today is focused on professional mixing, mastering, and production for label, catalog, and placement projects. I’ve mixed thousands of records for Universal Music Group, creating release ready mixes for catalog updates, sync placements, and distribution across film, television, and streaming platforms. Alongside label work, I collaborate directly with artists and producers on full productions, mixing and mastering projects, working entirely through high end analog consoles, outboard gear, and tape machines at my studio, Golden Age Recording. My approach is hands on and intentional, focused on clarity, impact, and musical feel rather than templates or automated chains. My background as a music director and producer for major artists informs every mix I deliver, with a strong emphasis on performance, balance, and translation across real-world listening environments.

A: My strongest skill is delivering clear, competitive, release-ready mixes that translate across streaming platforms, broadcast, and real world listening systems.
