Hello I'm Jody Cortez. I have been drumming for over 35 years, live and in studio. I've played and recorded with Bruce Springsteen, Mick Jagger, Cinderella,Billy Idol,The Jacksons,Christopher Cross, Michael McDonald ,Brenda Russell, Paul McCartney,Phil Collins, Pat Leonard (Pink Floyd), Boz Scaggs, Chicago, David Crosby, Crosby, Stills & Nash.

I'm a mixing and mastering engineer - and producer - from Brazil. I'm very good at all of those things, according to the critically acclaimed artists I've worked with (and also my mom). I own a recording studio, but I'm looking to do more remote work and get to know artists from other places. Also, I'm cheap because I don't have a Grammy (yet).

I can make a guitar track or arrangements for a wide variety of instruments, my degree in popular music is oriented towards nylon fingerstyle guitar, but I have played and recorded rock, blues, jazz, bossa, among others.

I've worked with Bob Geldof, Alison Moyet, All about Eve, Michael Ball, David Soul, James Galway, Oumou Sangari, Najma Akhtar, The Quireboys and Boris Grebenchikov. I played on the debut single by Steps. "5,6,7,8"

I am a Berklee Certified producer based in NYC who has had over 8 years of musical experience. All my productions are created from scratch, including original guitar instrumentation. When approaching projects, I dedicate all my time and effort to creating the best product motivated by my deep passion for music and inspiring people.
