What's happenin - my name is Josh. I produce a brand of tunes called “Laughing Matters” whose sound can best be described as the sweet hot nectar of genre-hopping sound-candy thwomp-sauce with melted chocolate and extra cuddles 👍
If based in the UK, I prefer to work in-person in a pro studio to get the right sound. A creative and versatile singer/songwriter. Offering vocals and topline songwriting.
I love to create unique and genre combining musical themes and songs. I employ an unorthodox style of sampling and resampling (only royalty-free) music and sometimes eccentric sounds. I enjoy post-producing intricate details in songs to accompany the vocalists' ability and quirks. I strive for uniqueness and the organic flow of creating.
I play a collection of unique instruments. My drums are 1963 Rogers Holiday. My guitar collection includes acoustics, electrics, 12 strings, and pawnshop oddballs from who knows where. My bass is from Transylvania (seriously). My piano is a 1909 Steinway Model K. My focus lately is my custom built electric zither from Polyphonic Workshop.
At the core for me, it’s about the passion for creativity and striving to let people hear our stories. Which, is what I strive to do with any task. I hope I get the chance to provide my love of Film/TV/Game sound and knowledge of it to your project.
