I’m CESAR ANOT, a professional bassist, composer, and arranger from Côte d’Ivoire. With over 25 years of experience in studio recording and live performance, I craft groovy, soulful, and expressive bass lines that bring life, depth, and emotion to every track.
As a teenager, I co-founded the Ivorian group WOYA, quickly gaining recognition across Africa. Since then, I’ve collaborated with world-renowned artists, including Tony Allen, Hank Jones, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Macy Gray, Amp Fiddler, David Murray, Questlove, Mory Kanté, and Lucio Dalla.
For 25 years, I have been a key part of the Corsican group I Muvrini, earning two gold records (Alma and Umani) and helping shape their international sound.
