Chris Ascher (aka "shaggyontheboardz", or just "Shaggy" for short) is an American mixing/recording engineer and record producer, specializing in Pop, R&B and Hip Hop. I have a “perfectionist” mentality, so I won’t send anything out to a client unless I’m 100% happy, and want to make sure the client is also happy.

My mixing philosophy is to be invisible. My priority is to help the artist achieve their vision, ignoring the need to put a personal stamp on the mix or attempt to make it my own. To that end, I am flexible in the methods I employ and will always defer to the tastes of the artist by understanding what's important to them in a mix.

I started out making beats and mixing hip hop and trap, but after years of work I have mixed almost all genres. I specialize in hiphop, trap, R&B, pop, soul, but I have mixed almost all genres. The mixing tools are the same! The important thing is the criteria of who does it.

I'm the one who sees simple problems in a different way that's why even songs about love don't seem to be as ordinary. I will be glad to work with as many people as possible as music is my passion and life.
