Carlos Marrero is a singer, songwriter and producer from the Canary Islands based in Madrid, Spain. As a solo artist, he currently releases music under the moniker El Marido Ideal, a project through which he has earned a place in the Spanish and Latin underground by showcasing a style he has kind of ironically baptized as "hyperfolk".
I write lyrics that tell stories, evoke emotions, inspire imagination, portray personas. Sometimes ironic, sometimes melancholic. Often thought-provoking and surprising. Something for both the heart and the mind.
Certified musician with a small home studio and big expirience. Wrote scores and recorded guitar parts for 4 full-length albums in 2020. Still waiting for the final mixings though.
