I’m the guy who write “Safari for the Hood”, and still remember how all started, used to take a beat n’ goes freestyle in, then I found it, that if then I rewrite it…I could make the song hotter. At the end, I guess that is what it is rapper, but I wanna be more than these, deep lyrics and mixed rhythms, makes the best MCs, no beef, make peace, Dy.
Hi everyone! Greetings from Mexico, I’m a Mexican MC who’s working on his first album, I’m 22 and I been writing since 14 prolly, but in fact, start doing it pro alike 19, I used to do it for fun, and I still, but now I do it as work too. I grew up hearing some pop groups and cumbias, which it helped with my moves, but, it was so different of the genre I choose as my main one, the Hip-Hop, thing that make me thought, that something way musically different never could be mixed, ironically, now at least the 50% of my inspirations on the beats could came for any genre except rap, which it gave me a versatility that is out of this world, but even though I like the beat-making, that’s not my main thing, I’m a pro lyricist not a producer, so my biggest influences for the songwriting probably are MF Doom, and Eminem, the first one being the best lyricist of all time, and the second the rap GOAT in my opinion, they made me see’s more stuff behind lyrics, words play, triple senses out of one bar, how to say certain things without saying it, and don’t talk about the storytelling, I’m a Stan, people like DMX, who always put all his energy, his voice, his flow, his everything, who made every fan of rap loved that vibe that he had, and made Ruff Ryders Anthem continue to play in our heads to this day, or Juice, my biggest inspiration to always put everything, doesn’t matter what it is, 999.

Interview with TyDru
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My first album, it’s going to be the mixed of Straight Outta Compton and To Pimp a Butterfly, based on the Mexican Culture with some sound inspirations that ain’t typical on the genre. Prolly one of the most experimental projects on the game ever, but if I do it right, it going to be legendary.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always pay attention to the smallest detail, so that your project is always perfect.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Learn about things that I don’t know or I’ve never heard of.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Just drop rhymes cause it sounds cool, rhymes are one of the most important things as a writer, that’s true, but if you say something without a meaning behind, then it’s an empty message, doesn’t matter how great rhymes, it means nothing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Idea, if you have a beat, and how much time we got to do it.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Before hire someone, ask them what’s their proposal for your idea, and see if you have the same vision of it, or if you like theirs.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile, I can write you the most gangsta rap, till the most sentimental letter for you lover, at the time of the day, I'm an actor too, so…I think I know I little bit of interpretation too.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: 1st. Eminem, I wanna do a lyrical madness with him. 2nd. Dua Lipa, a broken love story, with her voice on the hook…wow. 3rd. Quincy Jones and Metro Boomin, my dream instrumental where I take the best of both worlds to get the iconic genre-less song.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Something that always helping me when I started was, if I didn’t knew how to do something, or I didn’t end to understand why was that happening, I always asked to someone who knows the why, cause always it’s better sound exactly as you want, than…hmmm, I think it’s sounds similar.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop and R&B mostly.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vision, because our studies, our experience and even our hobbies as a person, gives you a pov that could be a whole different one of another person, and both, you as the talent and me the support, working together, we can make that a great idea, turns into something out of this world.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1. “Idea” First of all, I have to got a clearly idea of what I’m going to do. 2. “Inspire me” Now that I have the what, I need the who, on who’s going to be based on the track. 3. “Freestyle” Now that I have a clue of how’s going to be the song, I take a beat and Freestyle in to get the “Alpha” version of lyric. 4. “Beat” Now with the random lyric, I need a beat how going to be the base of the next step (This could be the number 1 if you already got it, so skip this and number 3, but I usually do it this way for myself). 5. “Rewrite time” Now I have to adapt it or depend the case, even write all again, but now getting clearly idea of what’s the way it have to be written. 6. “Flows" Try the same lyrics with diffent flows to see if any rhyme or sound don’t match a lil bit or at all, and if it’s the case, just try different words till everything sounds alright. 7. “Check” Send the results to the client to get feedback, if it’s done, nice, and in case you don’t like something of it, we will work on it till you feel it’s perfect. 8. Work done.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My inspiration are so random, for example, lyricists like Doom, Em, Kendrick, Nas, Andre 3K, Laurent Hill, or Inspectah Deck, on the beats, Metro, Kanye, Mike Dean, or even from other genres, Toto, for the feelings, Juice, The Weekend, Adele or the attitude from NWA, DMX, or depending my mood could be Kurt Cobain or Dave Grohl.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I’m a writer basically.
