Hi I am Steve. I started off doing FOH for artists (hitting the road with DFA 1979, Alexisonfire, Ill Scarlett, Protest The Hero) while building my studio chops in between. Former co-owner of Chemical Sound Recording (Toronto) and recording artist (Papermaps), Dean Marino has been making records for over 20-years, working with countless artists as diverse as Tokyo Police Club to Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings.
I mainly work on Alternative, R&B/Hip-Hop, Retro Pop and I also love Latin music. My forte is in sound design and genre-bending utilizing my wide tase and background in music. What matters to me the most is finding the most appealing/compelling way to connect your voice to the audience.
