Kevin Armstrong is the guitarist you may never have heard of, but have most certainly heard. He has had a stellar career since the early 1980s as sidekick for David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Morrissey, Sinéad O’Connor, Prefab Sprout, Thomas Dolby and host of others. He has played with a huge range of stars from Roy Orbison to Brian Eno.
I take influences and find a way to put my own creative spin on it. Make it feel fresh, new. Unique processing methods on sounds. My childlike attitude with creating leads to a lot of happy accidents. In terms of song writing I lean toward raw words, emotion and intuition.
Ira Larwence inherited a haunted electric mandolin from his estranged grandmother and started a self-recorded journey into mystical folk music.
