Hello and welcome to my page. Lots of different styles of music here. Having spent my life in the recording studios of NYC, L.A., Chicago, Miami, London et al, I'm now quite comfortably sitting in my own production suite. What's on offer? Music Production is my career & passion. Solo CD's feature Delmar Brown (Sting, Miles, Jaco), Gerry Brown (Stevie Wonder, Stanley Clarke, Diana Ross) Elliott Randall (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers), Jonathan Joseph (Metheny, Sanborn, Jeff Beck), to name a few-each song features a unique ensemble, with me as common denominator on keys/bass/production.
I am a Soul/Pop artist with 10 years of experience working with Pop, RnB, Rock and Hip-Hop artists in both Los Angles and Nashville. I have performed, written and recorded songs with Victoria Horn (Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato), Megan & Liz, Micheal McDonald (The Doobie Brothers), and Richard Marx.

I take my inspiration from the sound of the 70s and modern alt rnb. I love music that is a collage: where two disparate parts just touch one another in the sonic-scape. I philosophize music just as much as I make it, and always set limitations for myself to work within. I produce and mix music because I love to exercise creative problem solving.
First place in BILLBOARD songwriting contest for "Jesus, Bon-Jovi and Tarzan" produced with John Alagia, Charlie Midnight, Anthony Resta and Danny Bernini. I write, sing and produce and would love to collaborate and bring the best you to the table!
Alex Merrill is a funk session/touring keys player whose played with the likes of Baby Jake, Riley Clemmons, Aveva, Morgan Myles and even, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, of Steely Dan/Doobie Brothers acclaim. He specializes in all styles with an emphasis on 80's Funk, 70's yacht rock, and Gospel/blues with a vintage-synth tinge.
