After finishing the Recording Arts Program at Media Tech Institute, Dakarai started an internship at the famed Quad Studios in 2010. Following a short internship and an intense apprenticeship under some of the top industry mixers, Dakarai rose to become the Chief Engineer at Quad and has held the position since!

Engine Room Audio is a state-of-the-art tracking, mixing, and mastering facility that offers services to industry professionals and individual artists. Engine Room is an Apple-approved “Mastered for iTunes” facility. The Studio was founded by head engineer Mark B. Christensen in 1996 and has recently moved to lower Manhattan.
I've been writing, producing, recording, and mixing albums for myself and other artists since I first started working with Pro Tools 14 years ago, when I was in the 7th grade. I had completed over a dozen albums by the time I finished high school. I earned a bachelor's degree at a local recording school but I consider myself self-taught.
