I hire and collaborate with professional artists to fulfill productions on my original songs. Originally from Minneapolis, I work remotely in my home studio in Colombia on the Caribbean beside the Sierra Nevadas. 36 years making original music, mostly in person, with humans, collaborating, now remotely via Sessionwire and here through SB.
Vibe is definitely an element I'm listening for as I work. Hopefully a sonic narrative emerges and then I'm in a realm that only exists in music.
I enjoy collaborating with instrumentalists. I build the arrangements of my songs inspired by the contributions of these artists. For the bulk of my material, Sean Hurley on bass, Victor Indrizzo on drums, and Darrell Thorp engineering sessions at EastWest Studios, and in their own respective studios, Megan Gould on strings and Beto Braga for horns
Transitioning from in person collaboration to remote has provided good to great experiences as an artist and personally. Each artist recording in their own space they are familiar with has resulted in great performances and forever tracks.
