Chris taught me to be my own production manager. Self producing work that includes professionally tracked strings, horns, acoustic drums, and vocal arrangements is challenging to make the decisions necessary to deliver excellent multitracks for him to mix. I owe his a debt of gratitude for his clarity in our communication. It's how top professionals operate. Chris is without a doubt a top professional in our industry.

My mixes sound even better over time. That's confirmation that Chris got it right. There is restraint in Chris's mixing sensibilities. Specifically, Chris understands the best use of saturation. He knows what tape saturation does to music, what preamp do, and yes, what Decapitator and others can do. So the music is alive and breathing every day forever.
