The collaboration with this studio is an absolute value. As a music manager of some very good musicians and songwriters and owner of an indie label, we profit greatly from the competence of the producers, the modern technology and the recording equipment, as well as the spacious and homelike studio which leaves no wishes unfulfilled.
A great, spacious studio, two cool guys (Matthias and Ondrej), who understand to create an amazing sound. We can recommend this studio to everyone who wants to record songs in high quality. From the arrangement, the vocals up to those small sound details in the finishing process, that put an almost final song to a whole new level!!!
I've been to Protonstudio a few times for various recordings with my bands and those were the best recording experiences I've had! From Pop-Rock to Punk, I got the best results I could imagine . Working with Matthias is also always fun and he's working highly professional and creative to bring your songs to the next level. Highly recommend!
Because of some (rock-)mixes I really love, I contacted Protonstudio, when I needed a superfast high quality mix. In the end that's what I got! Absolutely pro-level mixing and mastering. And what is also important for me: the communciation was easy and super kindly. Highly recommended!

Interview with Protonstudio
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of earning money with a job I love so much!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I cannot tell about it at the moment - I shortly will!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Best of both worlds.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We are not satisfied, if you aren't!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Digging into details, working with professional musicians. AND listening to my own productions of former times - always great fun!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: How much does it cost? A: Time is money, music is emotion! How to pay emotions?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: first recording I made: 1997 | first recording, I still love to listen to: 2000 :-) SAE-Audio Engineer Diploma 2002 (Munich) | musician and freelance producer / sounddesigner 2002-2012 | building of own studio: 2005 | music producer, musician and freelance music-journalist since 2012
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you think you're finished with production, listen together with someone you consider better than yourself! If you feel uncomfortable - it's not finished, yet!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: The most feedback I get from musicians, what they like the most while working with us, is the input they get while working! Many engineers can record and mix great tracks, but my conviction is going beyond technical and musical skills. Its the heart of music, and the emotions! Sometimes the feeling can be more important, than musical perfection!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: 180 squaremeters of creativity :-) ProTools 12 HDX, Cakewalk Sonar X3, Samplitude ProX | Klein und Hummel, Genelec, Ascendo c5 | Neumann, Sennheiser, AKG, Audix...
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are a lot! Starting at Beethoven, moving over ABBA, Simon and Garfunkel, 90's Metal such as Megadeth and (the old) Metallica, Faith No More, Red Hot Chili Pepers, even Extreme Metal Scandinavian and USA (Dimmu Borgir and Slipknot, to name a few). I LOVE how Skrillex revolutionized Dubstep, and I really like actual European Artists as Roger Cicero (R.I.P.), "Laing" and Austrian "Bilderbuch". You see - to me there are no boundaries, and only two kinds of music: good, and bad :-)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording, arranging and mixing! Music production is teamwork!
