Otis Selimane Remane is a drummer, singer, composer, educator graduating at UNICAMP in Popular Percussion course. He started his musical carreer at age of seven, playing sweet flute, piano, timbila and percussion at Escola Nacional de Musica. At the age of fourteen he started to perform as professional musician in mozambican, that allowed him to work with reputed musician from Mozambique, such Moreira Chonguiça, Ivan Mazuze, Jimmy Dludlu, Isabel Novela, Cheny Wa Gune, Dilon Djindji and many other artists from the new generations and also played in many national and international festivals. Actually, he develops projects in Brazil as educator teaching the rhythms from Mozambique and other parts from Africa. He's been playing a very important role as youth artist on diffusing African Culture, through workshops and been required to record some african flavours with Brazilian and other artists around the world. He represented Mozambique in ethnos Brazil, Portugal and Finland in 2018. In this same year he won the New Talents of Jazz Award with his authoral work The Otis Project. He also develops a carreer as researcher student in ethnomusicology.
