The Beats Boys on SoundBetter

Songwriting and production duo in the pop/urban space based out of Stockholm, Sweden. Published by Warner/Chappell. Working alongside creatives like Rodney Jerkins, Tommy "TBhits" Brown, SEEB, Marcus Schulz, Tayla Parx, Ilsey Juber, H.E.R and many more.

Starting off with building our own studio complex in Stockholm in the beginning of 2017. We now got two studio-rooms and two production rooms going every day of the week. Coming from a very collaborative mindset our complex now consists of a small team of producers and songwriters collectively earning upwards a billion streams worldwide. As a duo we've spent our time travelling between London, Berlin, LA and NYC working with some of the most inspiring people in the game. Recently teaming up with Warner/Chappell on our publishing side.

Our usual work remotely besides mixing is doing full productions and toplining, taking ideas (wether it's a cracking voice memo or guitar riff) from the very basic to it's full potential. Our expertise lies somewhere between the solid pop space and the more urban, trying to push us a little forward rather than leaning onto ongoing trends. This of course without in any way limiting ourselves or your vision.

To summarize it, what we can help with is:

- Composing, toplining, lyrics
- Full Production, arrangements & recording/editing of instrument/vocals
- Mixing

Take a listen to our audio sample, send us your ideas and we will do our best to bring your vision to life. We can also assure you that we wont put our heads into any work that we know we can't nail.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Only positive experience from working with The Beats Boys. Talented, professional, understanding and easy to work with producer and mixer. Made the best out of my demo and elevated it from being busy and plain to be an interesting, radio-quality, modern song that enhanced the feeling I wanted to present, and made it even more unique. I agree with the others and can highly recommend working them.

Definitely work with The Beats Boys if you get the chance! They're extremely talented producers and songwriters, and have the flexibility to create across genres. I've heard them make great mainstream pop, indie Bon Iver inspired music, and R&B. Also, super nice and easy to collaborate with.

We've worked together many times, both remotely and in sessions with artists, and besides being really fun and easy to deal with they have a great sense for arrangement and instrumentation. Highly recommend working with these guys if you want a well-crafted, catchy song.

Interview with The Beats Boys

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: For about four years full-time.

  3. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  4. A: Mixing and co-production.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital. Wether it's about being on the road, jumping between studios, it's always a great thing to be able to have everything in your backpack. We rarely record processed vocals or instruments to be able to do all the changes in post.

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: We use Genelec speakers and we run mostly everything through Universal Audio (Apollo) or Audient soundcards. Our gear includes Neumann microphones (vintage U87, TLM103), Slate Digital microphones and we have Fender/Taylor/Martin guitars and basses. Every software plugin you can think of.
