Who TF is Tyler Jay
I am an experienced engineer and producer who has worked on a number of projects, both of my own and of other artists. My mixing style is heavily inspired by popular engineers of the '90s (i.e. Andy Wallace, Rob Schnapf) to achieve a full, gutsy sound no matter the genre. I am also a guitarist of 16+ years and can provide session performances.
I've performed at CARNEGIE HALL, tour with saxophonist for MICHAEL BUBLÉ, play with multiple GRAMMY-winners at top NYC jazz venues, work with large hiphop collectives, indie artists, and record across many genres: HipHop, Reggae, RnB, Latin, Jazz, Gospel, Cinematic/Orchestral, Classical and more. Experienced in film scoring.
I've been mixing music for almost a decade now and have several years experience working in various recording studios. I've worked on music as disparate as acoustic ballads and death metal, but I specialise in alternative rock and punk music; if you like loud guitars and punchy drums, I'm the guy for the job!
