Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Keep the lines of communication open, and always provide detailed instructions! Allowing your provider to have access to all the details of your process and project timeline will allow for quick turnaround time and minimize confusion. For example, if I've been hired to write the lyrics for an acoustic pop song and have already received the instrumental track, the first thing I ask for is a breakdown of the form detailing the minutes/seconds that correspond with each verse, chorus, etc. This ensures that my understanding of the form is the same as the music writer, and in turn, reduces the chance of having to complete additional revisions and extend the job turnaround time.
