I am Shaan Mehta, AfroBeat music producer and songwriter from Auckland, New Zealand. I have also produced for many hip hop & r&b acts including rapper Ohana Bam. Worked on the last EP for Empire actress Serayah. I play piano and guitar which is incorporated into my arrangements. I produce everything on Ableton Live 10.

I've played tabla for 20 years. I'm also a profession drummer who has toured with country artist Billy Joe Shaver 12 years and have played with singer-songwriters Alexi Murdoch and Matt Nathanson. I've also studied audio-engineering at Austin Community College and have a professional studio set-up in my home for good quality recordings.

Seasoned and certified mixing engineer, with 20 years experience in digital audio production, including 10 years of teaching and instruction @NHLStenden. Education: Art School, School for Audio Engineering, Master in Music Production, Middlesex Uni London. Secured recording deals with self produced music. Works in the box, Pro Tools and Reaper.

This is simple. I make what I like to call orchestrated compositions, not beats. Artists can’t approach what I have because it’s too creative and captivating.
