Alex Rocha is a session upright and electric bass player based in Rio de Janeiro. He got a Latin Grammy Award for his contribution on singer Emílio Santiago's live CD "Só Danço Samba ao vivo" , winner on 2012. I'm an old school hillbilly singer and player that's been there and done that. And, I can do the same for you. I've produced hundreds of projects in my studio in Nashville where I was the engineer, bass player, acoustic player, harmony singer, mixer and mastering engineer. I may be old school, but I have all the digital gear I need at my disposal.
In my years of touring, I've been hired to produce live arrangements both from band leading and track work. Having insight into how an audience reacts to certain dynamics, 'vibe', and texture is a key asset into anyone's body of musical work. My goal is to help get your message communicated as clearly as possible through your musical vision.

My piano compositions have been streamed millions of times, been placed on both spotify and apple editorial playlists, and feature regularly on BBC radio. I am currently working with several publishers for TV and film music. I specialise in writing and recording melodic, 'classical' sounding peaceful piano, both for solo and multi-instrumental use.
