Ben Shirken aka Beshken is an artist, producer, and mixer living in Brooklyn, New York. He has produced and mixed for an eclectic range of electronic, indie/jazz, and r&b artists such as The Dare, Spencer., Gus Dapperton, Mizu & Deli Girls. He attended NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music where he received a BFA in Recorded Music.
I'm an expert in playing and programming analog and digital synths, in addition to being an accomplished keyboardist, guitarist & bassist. I'm a member of UK electronic pop band Metronomy, record/produce my own music as NZCA LINES and have recorded and performed with French pop star Christine & The Queens.
I'm producer, arranger, and instrumentalist for over 25 years. I have worked with Tom ZĂ©, Ney Matogrosso, Coletivo Samba Noir (with Egberto Gismonti, Arto Lindsay, Carlos Malta). When I worked at Albatroz Music (Roberto Menescal) I produced, arranged, and recorded Bossa Nova style more than 400 tracks for the Eastern market.
