I specialize in affordable custom mastering with emphasis on clarity and maintaining mix integrity. I have a tendency towards open, exciting sounding mixes that grab your attention with dynamic automation, and will not over compress, and will seek to enhance the best qualities of a mix.
I began mastering in 2014, after my interest in mastering was sparked by Corin Roddick (Purity Ring) after he mastered an EP for my first band, which I played bass for. I wanted to understand the process of not only 'making music louder' but also enhancing it for the listener. The subtlety of the art is what has kept me invested. Over the years, I have worked with many artists from a wide spread of genres, and have personally become interested in modular synthesis and sound design. I have worked with jazz artists, metal artists, and most frequently in recent years with pop artists. Every mix engineer who has sent me tracks to master have been extremely satisfied with the results. It is common for mastering engineers to 'make the track theirs', leaving the integrity mix to the wayside.
I strive to be easy to work with, and have excellent communication. In general I try to just 'shine up' mixes, but I am also happy to work with a mix engineer if there are issues with the mix. I may be able to provide test masters at no fee if you would like to hear my work on your music.
I will be updating this page with audio samples in the near future.
