Johnny Helms has over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, most notably working in music. He has been the owner and operator of the Music Lab in Niagara Falls NY since 2009 where he has worked as a composer, producer, musician and audio engineer.
I’ve written, produced, and mixed songs totaling over 3 million streams across platforms. My music has been on playlists such as New Music Friday, Fresh Finds (standard, pop, and hip-hop), Et Alt, and PopRox. Largely my skills have developed through my alt/pop duo, Nox Holloway, as well as producing and mixing for other up-and-comers in Nashville.
I am a professional Brazilian drummer and percussionist since 2006. I am a professor at the Federal University of Goias, in the countryside of Brazil, teaching drums and ensemble practice. I have recorded several albums of Brazilian music, mainly Brazilian jazz, but also more traditional styles such as samba, baião, bossa-nova, among others.
Over 2 years of experience, ability to work on any audio project, from podcast editing to sound design, work with clients across different genres and platforms, equipped with the latest software tools, able to communicate easily and open to feedback and revisions, and passionate about music and audio.
