A long and varied career as a musician in NYC has had me traveling the world with many different artists, including Meshell Ndegeocello, Walter Becker (Steely Dan) Natalie Merchant, Screaming Headless Torsos, and many more. I have recorded on over 100 hundred commercially released records. I have also released 3 solo recordings and have produced 8 records to date.

I am a session bass player who does studio work as well as live performance. Crafting lines that compliment a song and gives the track life is my goal, and I strive to make your song the best that it can be. Joe Dickey is an electric & upright bassist living in Nashville. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a music performance degree in jazz studies. Dickey has performed and recorded with artists including Jo Dee Messina, Kacey Musgraves, Jana Kramer, Mason Ramsey, Delfeayo Marsalis, and Sons of Bill among others.
