I have been mixing, mastering and producing for over 8 years. I started off mixing live sound and recording my band's music. I now make my living as a sound engineer I've worked with many different genres and spent countless hours discovering my unique sound in the studio. I focus on making the best record I can for each artist I work with.
Usui started his career in junior high school. Since then, he has been playing guitar in diverse music genres. In the middle of the 1990s, he started a unique improvisation style that implements the fewest possible guitar effectors. MRI, primarily known as Richard-Iain Mc Clashie, is a young, passionate and dedicated adherent to an art form which has captured his imagination, heart and creative genius. Having been exposed to key rich and diverse musical genres which left lasting impressions upon him, a love for music production blossomed at age fifteen.

I am on radio a lot and heard in over 40 countries. I write, sing, arrange, produce, play keyboards and write patterns for many instruments and play them on keyboards. I have been interviewed by GSRN radio, GHP, Brownhill Radio, Halas Wilbourne, John Beaudin and some of my songs went to number one on Radio Indie Alliance and Valley FM Australia
I am an accomplished music producer, under the artist name Lateral Shift, with my own releases on well respected electronic music labels such as Onedotsixtwo, Movement Recordings and Manual Music. I pride myself on unique sound design and clear and punchy sounding mixes.
I’m a seasoned musician with a strong track record in Pop (Funk Pop, Alternative Pop, Indie) and Rock (Hard Rock, Indie Rock, Gospel). I’ve worked with top-tier artists, including JADE (Little Mix), Fleur East, and Martin Smith (Grammy-nominated band Delirious), among many others.
