Etienne Stoufflet on SoundBetter

Touring member of Grammy Nominated & NPR Tiny Desk Winner, Tank & The Bangas. 20+ years of experience on Saxophone

Born and raised in New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz, Funk, and Rock-n-Roll. I graduated from N.O.C.C.A. which was the training grounds for alumni like Christian Scott, Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Terrence Blanchard, Jeffrey Miller, Sullivan Fortner, and like a hundred other legends/behind the scenes creatives. There I studied under clarinetist Alvin Batiste (Cannon Ball Adderley, AFO, Ellis Marsalis), Chris Severin (Allen Toussaint, Diane Reeves, everyone), and Michael Pellera ( Buddy Rich, Chet Baker). I later went to UNO and studied under Ed Peterson ( Kurt Elling) and Steve Masakowski (Astral Project)

I've toured, written, and played with Grammy Nominated Tank & The Bangas for the past 8 years and was the featured soloist on their NPR Tiny Desk hit "Quick". Have played with Musiq Soulchild, Alexis Isley, George Porter, Eric Krasno, members of Snarky Puppy & Ghost Note, and honestly way too many other people

I can play rock-n-roll/rnb saxophone solos a la Fats Domino, P-Funk horn lines, 'shreddy' jazz/funk solos, and fast merengue mambos. I can create horn arrangements and call on a variety of different formations of horn sections to give you the fattest sound possible.

Holler at me and lets get to work!

Etienne is an excellent sax player who will bring creativity and a wealth of ideas to your productions. He also has a great ear for the production side of things if his input is needed.
