Working with Noah was great. The vision for the record was crystal clear right from the start, and all we had to do was massage the record into place. Would definitely recommend him, and would love to work with him again.
Noah Taylor is the key to your project. He pours his heart and soul into the music he creates and it really shows. Whether you're looking for a mixing engineer or a producer, Noah is the guy for the job. He truly shows care for his craft and I can't thank him enough for working with me time and time again. (side-note, his percussion is killer)
I’ve been working with Noah since December 2018, and he’s never let me down once. He’s an extremely talented songwriter, producer and engineer who knows his genres in and out, producing some of the best results I could ask for.
Noah Taylor is an incredible producer. My name is Claire Conway, I’m an independent singer/songwriter, and Noah produced my last EP, “Missing.” Beyond his intrinsic knack for songwriting and arrangement and his excellent technical production skills, he is great at creating a space that encourages creativity and exploration. I didn’t know what I wanted my finished songs to sound like until Noah helped me deconstruct them and allow them to take shape organically, and I felt like he was 100% behind my creative vision all the way through the process. I can’t wait to work with him again.
I'm Will Panitt, a Singer/songwriter from Charleston, SC. I have worked with Noah Taylor for a while, but more recently he has produced my first (unreleased) EP, he did an absolutely amazing job, and I am so so happy to have worked with him. I would recommend him to anyone, he has amazing talent and will give you only the best quality content!!
I'm a Pop singer songwriter and have worked with several producers throughout my career. However, no one has come even close to Noah. He is young, passionate, and fearless - he understands and pushes the boundaries of what it means to create effective, contemporary tracks that instantly resonate with listeners.
He has a fantastic open and charming personality, and instantly relates to the artists he works with.
If you're looking for outstanding production, songwriting, or mixing, he is your man.
I do not say this lightly: Noah is the future of Pop music.Noah is an incredibly gifted songwriter and producer. I've been working on my EP with him for the past year and he perfectly captures everything I am trying to convey in his songwriting. He's super attentive and really gives his all with every client that he works with. I hope everyone can get the opportunity to work with Noah!
My name is Kayshawn and I have worked closely with Noah Taylor, making my first ever E.P. “Wide Eyes”. He is hands down the most professional and most talented producer I have ever met. He worked dilgently to make my vision come to fruition. He is excellent in speed with getting my mixes back to me. Working with him has been A DREAM COME TRUE. I have a project under my belt that I AM PROUD OF!
Interview with Noah Taylor
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! I'm mostly ITB, but at the end of the day I'm always using whatever gets the job done and sounds better.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I'm the "fix" for a recording someone was unhappy with. Mixing can do a lot to bring a song to life but if it wasn't recorded properly, to begin with, there's only so much I can do! I try and be up-front about this and help people to organize their files for the best possible result. Better to mix than to fix.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Macbook Pro, Pro Tools, Grace M905, PMC Monitors, my Hazelrigg VLC1
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The 1975, Troye Sivan, Sigrid, Dua Lipa, and ROSALIA would be incredible records to work on.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop and Indie-Alt are the genres I most commonly work in! I love pop artists and working with bands!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm listening to feel something, not just to hear something.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Honesty and thoughtfulness. Everything I do is about serving the song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work on PMC twotwo6's through a Grace m905 as my DAC. I use an assortment of plugins from Universal Audio, iZotope, GoodHertz, Plugin-Alliance, SoftTube, Waves, etc. I also have a Hazelrigg VLC1 and a Retro 176 which are two hardware analog units I print audio through.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I really love and am inspired by Mike Crossey, Josh Gudwin, and Manny Marroquin.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing + Executive Production
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If it doesn't feel good, it isn't good. If it feels good, it is good. Trust your gut.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Studio sessions with me are very relaxed! I spend a lot of time focusing on creating a comfortable, fun, studio environment for my clients where they enjoy the work we are doing. I'm all about trying weird things to reach a sound and thinking out of the box. That being said, I understand and respect the pop music sound and know how to integrate it.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To treat every project like it was my own. I only take on clients whom I believe I can provide real value. If a project doesn't spark my passion or interest, I generally won't take it on.
