Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I'm currently working on my own singles that I'll be releasing throughout 2019. I just recently put out my new song KIDS and its correlating video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qUD1VDkyfs

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Have a very clear vision of what you are looking for. Ultimately, you want to find a vocalist/songwriter who will be a natural, easy fit for your production. Know exactly what you want, and you'll love the result.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: My laptop, a hard drive, the Rode NT1-A mic, the AKAI MPK Mini, and the Focusrite pre-amp.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Always let your work rest! I love doing long hours in the studio and finishing a song within a day, but I always give it time to digest and take shape in my mind after the session. I like to listen to the track in different environments, in different locations, and at different times of day to see how I respond to it. The wider its appeal, the better.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I'm most comfortable in writing and singing Pop, Indie Pop, Electro Pop, and EDM music. However, if you only need a vocal (without songwriting), I can also do musical theatre, jazz, folk, and singer-songwriter.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: My strongest skill are definitely my vocals. I absolutely love singing and am always learning and striving to be better.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: For songwriting, I absolutely love the work of Jon Bellon, Sigrid, Charli XCX, Alec Benjamin, The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Janelle Monae, Michael Jackson, and Queen. My songwriting style is influenced by their lyrical and melody deliver. I like to think of my songs as Cliff's Notes: expressing complex ideas in a relatable and condensed matter, always making sure that depth and content aren't lost with straightforwardness. For my singing, I am hugely influenced by the likes of Jessie J, Adele, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Barbra Streisand. While I have the ability to belt high notes and big ballads, I am very flexible with my style and can easily go between a power vocal or a more indie type style, if needed.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I usually receive a track from a producer or DJ and write the melody and lyrics based on it. I've also worked on projects where I co-wrote the song from scratch with the producer. In all cases, however, I am also the vocalist in the final recording.
