Pro level services for independent artists on a budget. Let's create that sound you've been looking for.
I am an audio engineer, producer, and trumpet player. I began performing at a young age and quickly found my way into recording studios as a session player or band member. Personally, I always found it difficult to find an engineer that could create the mix I heard in my head, so I decided to study audio engineering.
Within the first few years in the profession, I have released music with several well-known artists based in Austin, TX, mixed a multitude of songs for clients across various genres, collaborated on several sample packs including one for Splice, and served as a music producer for a PBS documentary-series entitled Taco Mafia.
I love all styles of music but the bulk of my work is in Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, and Latin styles. I am very meticulous and passionate about how I craft any musical project, and I am confident that together we can create something to be proud of.

Endorse Iram ReyesIn the 10 years i have spent in recording studios, from at home closet setups to professional high quality studios, i have never had a better experience than with Iram over at Bad hombres studios. Besides his equipment, recording, mixing, and mastering skills, his ear is an incredible tool that even the high end studios dont have. His suggestions during our sessions have always been for the best. There are music engineers and there are producers who have and ear for talent and musical creation. Iram has has both and he is so easy to work with.
I’ve been working with Iram for a couple of years now and he somehow always manages to exceed my expectations for any project we work on. In addition being a skilled as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, and a session musician, he is incredibly easy to work with. It’s very rare you find someone so passionate about their craft while also conducting their business in a professional manner so I’m grateful to have the opportunity to collaborate with him. He’s consistently over delivered value to my projects so be prepared to have your expectations blown out of the water when you book him.
Iram is one of the most talented audio engineer/producer/musician I’ve ever worked with. His professionalism is unmatched and just has one of the coolest/calmest demeanors. I would recommend Iram to any band needing top notch recording or any film/television production needing scored music.
As a co-producer of PBS’s Taco Mafia, I relied heavily on Iram’s scored music to convey the emotions needed for each scene. Out of all of the positive notes I received from PBS, the music Iram wrote stood above all.
The quality of work provided from Iram has been outstanding. We definitely feel as if we leveled up in our production after using this service for mixing and mastering.
He has great attention to detail and alot of patience for the process. Great communication and is very prompt.
We will continue to use this service as it has only been of higher quality. Thank you to Iram. Excellent work.I’ve been working with Iram for almost a year now and he’s a true professional at his craft. He approaches every project to knock it out of the park and has never fallen short of that. His credentials are just a testament of his work but he’s my go to guy for all our organizations audio production needs.
Interview with Iram Reyes
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is a hybrid setup. I use analog hardware like Neve and API preamps and compressors like a 176 for recording. At the mixing stage, I like to use mix bus processors like the Neve 33609, the SSL Fusion, and a Maag EQ. Some of my favorite mics include the AEA R84 for trumpet, JZ V67 for vocals, and a Royer R-121/Shure SM57 combo for guitar cabs.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My biggest inspiration at the moment is Terrace Martin. I very much enjoy how he blends elements of jazz, funk, r&b, and soul with hip hop. I believe his use of analog equipment and live instruments make his music and style truly unique.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The bulk of my work is in mixing and mastering but I also record trumpet for sample packs and other musical productions. My favorite line of work is producing instrumentals and beats because I get to use synthesizers and effects pedals.
