By far the best experience I have had with any mixing engineer. The artistry Manny puts into mixing will blow you away from the first mix. While he is impressively efficient in his workflow and communication, you can tell he pays attention to every little detail to ensure he not only captures your vision but enhances it to something better than you could imagine.

Manny has mastered a full-length LP for me and the results are absolutely incredible.
I have long been a proponent of the idea that engineering is more than just a technical process. Understanding the artist's vision and how thoughtful and creative audio shaping can elevate a track beyond physical boundaries is what separates good from exceptional engineers.
Few make it an art, and Manny is one of them.
And as perfectionists as artists are, we need to let go and start trusting other artists.

Interview with Manny Park
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I comfortably work on every aspect of making the record. Traditional styles of band recording, in the box modern production techniques, full on world class mixing and mastering.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Do the research! Seriously, don't underestimate the impact the mix engineer can have on the crafting your record. Also trust your engineer, we are also artists in our own way and every engineer is going to bring their own flavor to your song.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital! Efficient work flow, limitless creativity and location independent. Allows for quick recalls that keep up with the demands of artists in today’s fast pace industry. A sonic compromise? You’d be hard pressed to tell the difference.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to listen to the track a couple times before touching anything or making my mind about anything. This helps me identify what I need to bring out in the song to best capture its vibe. Then I tackle the most important instruments in the song and ensure that they reflect the vibe of that initial vision. Then I tweak the instruments that sit second and third in the priority list to support those important elements. Next I like to bounce the song as a first pass, come back and listen to the song. Here is where I discover things that still bother me and I tackle those elements until I am satisfied. Now I'll usually send a bounce to the client and go back to make necessary revisions if need be.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that I get to combine both creative and technical skills. It's a moment when my nerdy side can feel kind of cool :)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: John Mayer, no doubt. He is the reason I started music, and am doing what I am doing today.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Take a break! It's amazing how small amounts of time away can actually be more beneficial than trying to aimlessly push through a mix.
