I had a great time doing this project with Glenn. He's very understanding and considerate which is delight when working with a Producer. Communications were very thorough and that's always a good thing in collaborations. Would definitely work with him again!

Glenn was one of the most receptive people I have ever collaborated with. This really felt like a conjoined effort to make the song the best that it could be and I felt like I was apart of something very special. You can feel the genuineness radiating from him, there was no attachment if it meant the song could flow better. Anyone considering working with him would have a very talented guitar player alongside a harmonious experience during your creative process. This was a real pleasure.

Glenn has been very pleasant to work with! He’s definitely one of my favorite clients. He’s really responsive and detailed which makes my job so easy. His progressions are very complex with an edgy and cool sound! I found his song quite challenging to write to and in my opinion the more challenging the song is, the better. We were able to create a very unique and emotional song. I HIGHLY recommend working with Glenn and I hope to work with him again soon!

Interview with Glenn Angell

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: Lyubov from Pinkshinyultrablast, Lacey Sturm (originally from Flyleaf), Eabha McMahon (formerly from Celtic Woman) or Sinead O'Conner because their voices are so powerful, beautiful, and expressive! When I listen to them sing, they have an such a profound, immediate and emotional effect on me...

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Geena Fontanella, Ivy Marie, Shelby Noble, Tara Louise, Chris Schweizer, and Navina

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: Pinkshinyultrablast, Shiny Toy Guns, Slowdive, Flyleaf, Lacey Sturm, Joy Division, Concrete Blonde, Curve. Pixies, U2, Tears for Fears, Chameleons, Depeche Mode, The Clash, Sinead O'Connor, Gareth Emery, Dash Berlin, Emma Hewitt, and Christina Novelli, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: Alternative Rock, Acoustic-Pop and Electronic music.

  9. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  10. A: Songwriting with Shelby Noble on our original song Hold On. This was my first acoustic release I was part of and it was a true collaboration that I both enjoyed and learned from. Shelby's voice is so beautiful on the song. Give it a listen! spotify:album:2dZM4jsuoEPpHl97daGCNg

  11. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  12. A: My first Electronic song, which should be fun and a nice change of genre for me from moody Alt Rock to uplifting Electronic.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Writing parts in songs that are all about simplicity and feel. I prefer a minimalist approach to coming up with beats and chords which gives the singer a lot of space for writing and singing original melodies, harmonies and ad libs.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Writing and playing parts that only support the song, nothing more.

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I originally created an account on SoundBetter to hire and co-write original songs with professional singer-songwriters. That's been it so far. But, I would be willing to work for hire as a provider for the right project and musicians.
