Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I love that mixing is where technology and creativity intersect. It’s a technical process, but every decision is driven by feel and emotion. Finding that balance — between precision and vibe — is what makes mixing so rewarding for me.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That mixing is all about fancy plugins and effects. In reality, 90% of mixing is about getting the balance right – volume, panning, EQ, and space. It’s about making sure each element sits in the right place so the song breathes and communicates what it’s meant to. Plugins help, but the mix lives or dies with the core balance.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What’s the genre and vibe of your track? Do you have a reference song or artist in mind? Are the stems well performed & recorded, clean and aligned from the same starting point? Do you want vocal editing (timing, tuning, cleanup)? What kind of sound are you aiming for?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Look for someone who actually listens to your track and your vision. Communication is key. If you're working with a mix engineer, make sure you feel comfortable giving honest feedback.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I’ve been making music for several years and intensely active the last 5+. I started by producing, mixing, and mastering my own material, and eventually realized that mixing is what I love most. I’ve been mixing full songs end-to-end and recently began focusing on working with other artists.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Clean, detailed, spacious, and emotionally connected. I don't over-process – I enhance what's already there, helping the song breathe while sounding polished and modern.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Primarily pop – I also enjoy working with singer-songwriters

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Mixing vocals. I’m meticulous about getting the right tone, placement, and emotion in the vocal – whether that means subtle editing or dynamic shaping with compression, EQ and FX.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Clarity, balance, and a sense of depth. I bring technical accuracy but always with the emotion of the track in mind. I help vocals shine, and make sure every part of the song supports the main idea without clutter.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I start by listening to the rough mix and reference track (if provided), then prep and organize the session. I clean up any technical issues (timing, breaths, harshness), then move into balancing, EQ, compression, and spatial work. After the first mix draft, I send it to the artist for feedback and go through a couple of revision rounds. Mastering is either included or separated depending on the request.

A: I'm inspired by mixers like Serban Ghenea and Andrew Scheps, who balance technical precision with musical feel.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: Mixing and Mastering. I take clean stems and sculpt them into a polished, professional-sounding track. I also edit and clean vocals when needed, to ensure they sit perfectly in the mix.
