Working for the first time on Soundbetter has been the best choice since I decided to record my music. I found several producers online but Uri explained me easly how my music could get to another level with his production.
He is very professional, honest and talented and I hope that on my future projects I can work with him again!! - check_circleVerified (Client)
Awesome professional! Recently I’ve had the chance to work on a couple of Uri’s projects and I really had a blast. His songs are always super cool, with great melodies and awesome arrangements. Can’t wait to see what he’s got in mind for the next projects. Definitely one of the best producers and songwriters that I ever got to work with!

Fast, professional and good-sounding. The product I expected, at a very reasonable price. I personally like the "modern sound" approach he uses; great for FM-like tunes and fresh sounds.

Good music, with commercial hook
Working with Uri has been amazing, he is at first place a beautiful soul and for me it’s fundamental for the good vibes while creating! Therefore he is a pro with producing, mixing and mastering, he is precise and so organized!
I believe that when creativity meet professionalism and it’s all combined with great humanity, that’s the real art for me, and Uri is a 100%recommendable for this.
Uri is incredibly talented. He is an excellent topliner, producer, singer.... He can do all the processes of a song in a super professional way. It's hard to find a musician like him in the music industry, only a few people have this global and modern vision of the songs. We've worked together in a bunch of songs and we have some projects on the way. Work with him, you won't regret it!
I have worked with Uri and his group Siderland for the production of one single and all I have are good words for him, fast response, clear communication and what's more important, clear ideas to develop. He also knows music and production so he has given very useful suggestions to the production of the song! If you are looking for a singer, songwriter and producer you will not regret hiring him! Hope to work with him in the near future!
Great producer, with interesting musical ideas and good people for recording them. Music with potencial commercial success.
It's a pleasure to work with him.
Interview with Uri Plana
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: 2 treated rooms, a pair of Yamaha H8's, a Neumann TLM102, a Neve 1073 preamp, an Apollo Twin Solo and a cool laptop with Logic Pro X and lots of virtual instruments and plugins.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll make everything that's in my hand to make them reach the goals they have related to the record. I won't give up until they are satisfied on how their music turned out.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I wouldn't even know what to pick. Being a musician has always been my dream. I guess that the best moment is when you find that idea that brings a song to the next level. That's what makes my day.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Radio friendly.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Take care of the dynamics of your track and make a cool drop.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My job is focused on writing cool music parts and make them sound unique. I always try to have a lot of different ideas like patterns, chord progressions and modern sounds that work for the genre my clients looking for.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Definitely. I started working with a music producer from Chicago, IL. It was the best experience of my life in terms of including a professional helping in my songs. It completely changed the way how I produce music and understand someone else's music. His name is Doug Weier. If you ever have the chance of working with him, go ahead.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The project I'm more proud of is my band. There's where I can express myself more easily and where I do everything I want, but above all, the most important thing about it is that I share it with my best friends, and that's very important in this industry.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a couple of RnB/pop songs in the style of Ariana Grande for an artist here in Spain. She's very cool and talented.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Mostly digital.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do you accept making revisions? Totally. I'll do as many revisions as it takes to get it perfect.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Search for a professional who's interested in make you win more than himself. Being a good provider means trying to satisfy your client before yourself.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1- My laptop 2- My laptop 3- My laptop 4- My laptop 5- My laptop
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing this for more than 15 years now, but I also started very young. My path was starting as an artist here in Spain. I've always been in a band with my friends and that's the best I could ever do in my life. We discovered how good it feels to write music and share it with an audience. Since that moment, I could never stop writing, producing, and obviously, playing live.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Rosalia. I'd love to work with her because she's incredibly talented and I love how personal she is in every song. I'd learn a lot about her music and her ideas. I'm sure those would also bring me out of my confort zone, and that's when you learn the most.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I love working with pop music. It can be modern pop or maybe something more classic, but definately I work better with pop and mainstream music over any other type or style.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My knowledge in harmony and music theory. To be honest, I'm a better musician than an audio guy. That's why my best skills are always related to creativity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My first thing is always diving into references. I like getting inside of big artists' and producers' minds to find a path, a concept, or whatever musical idea that helps understanding how a record needs to be done. I know it's like stealing to big artists, but that's why they are big names, because they're always in the first row. I always ask for 3 reference tracks with the same bpm range in any production.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'd say all my references are super mainstream artist. Here you have some examples: Clean Bandit, Billie Eilish, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Ava Max, John Mayer, Taylor Swift...
